Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
WordMe (wordme.ai and the WordMe app) is provided by AiMe Studio, Israel. This policy explains what WordMe handles when you use it, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@wordme.ai.
The short version
- Your text is sent only when you ask for an improvement, and WordMe does not store it or the result.
- To produce the result, your text is processed by our AI provider (see "Who processes data for us").
- We keep your account details and simple usage counts, such as how many words each request had.
- No advertising, no selling of data, no tracking cookies.
What we handle
Your account. You sign in with Google. We receive your name, your email address and Google's identifier for your account; we never see your Google password.
The texts you improve. When you press the shortcut or click Improve, the text, the style you chose and, if you set one, the result language are sent over an encrypted connection to the WordMe server, which passes them to our AI provider and returns the result to you. WordMe does not keep the text or the result in its database or logs. The app keeps no history of your texts.
Usage records. For each request we record the time, the number of words and characters, the style, the app version, a random request ID, whether it succeeded, the AI model used and the number of tokens it reported. We use them for your word allowance, to prevent abuse and to keep the service working well.
Connected computers. When you connect the app to your account, we record the computer's name and when it was connected and last used. The app's sign-in is stored on your computer in Windows Credential Manager; our server keeps only a one-way fingerprint of it. You can disconnect a computer on your account page.
Technical logs. Our servers log requests and errors (for example the time, the page or API requested, the response and how long it took, which may include your IP address) to run and protect the service. These logs do not contain your texts and are kept for up to 90 days.
Messages to support. When you write to support@wordme.ai, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, and use them only to answer you.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs: a sign-in cookie (wordme_session), short-lived cookies that protect the
Google sign-in, and a cookie that remembers your language choice (wordme_lang). There are no advertising or
analytics cookies.
Who processes data for us
- Microsoft Azure hosts the website, the server and the database in the European Union (France).
- Google provides sign-in.
- Zoho hosts the support@wordme.ai mailbox, with servers in the United States.
- DeepSeek (Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd.) runs the AI model that improves your text. Your text is sent to DeepSeek's API, whose servers are in China, for each request, and is handled under DeepSeek's privacy policy. Please do not use WordMe for text you are not allowed to share with such a provider.
We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. We may disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account details, usage records and connected computers are kept while your account exists, and deleted within 30 days after you ask us to delete your account. Technical logs are kept for up to 90 days. Messages to support are kept while we need them to help you, and deleted when you ask.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and to close your account, by writing to support@wordme.ai. Depending on where you live, data protection law (such as Israel's Privacy Protection Law or the EU's GDPR) may give you further rights, including complaining to a supervisory authority.
Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Keys and secrets are kept in a secured vault, sign-ins are stored as one-way fingerprints, and access to the servers is limited.
Children
WordMe is not intended for children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its date; for important changes we will also tell you by email.
